When I first saw this image from Opportunities
panoramic camera I believed I was seeing things, like a bug crawling
on the ground. I was thinking it was like when you look at a cloud
and see the form of a heart shape. You know it is not really a
heart, just a really cool cloud to look at. That is what the image
above was too me. Then I went to the next image.
When I saw this image and zoomed in I found that the spot that
looked like a bug crawling on the ground had moved. Plus in the
bottom right hand corner clear as day there is a Rod. The Rod is not
in the first image. I decided to move onto the next image in NASA's
public image library and find out if this anomaly is still there but
in a different position.
Once again, this object is still in the image but in a different
position. Three images in a row with the same object just in
different positions. Plus the Rod has flown away in this last image.
The original images can be found at this
NASA/JPL website.
